Deal Scanner
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This policy explains how the Deal Scanner Chrome extension and this website handle information. Deal Scanner has one purpose: helping autoplius.lt users see listing price history, tracking time, and price comparisons with similar cars.
Scope
This policy applies to the Deal Scanner Chrome extension and this website. It does not apply to autoplius.lt, autoplius.lt accounts, payments, or other third-party services.
Website
This website introduces the extension and provides privacy information. It does not require an account, does not include contact forms or payments, and does not use advertising cookies or analytics tracking. If you contact us by email, your message is used only to respond to your request.
Information handled by the extension
When the extension is enabled and you browse autoplius.lt listing or search pages, it may process publicly visible listing information:
- listing ID and page URL;
- vehicle make, model, year, mileage, fuel type, gearbox, engine, and city;
- price, the time the price was observed, and public price history created by Deal Scanner;
- public vehicle details, such as body type, color, or inspection information;
- listing photo URLs used in the comparison screen;
- seller category, if visible, such as private seller or dealer.
The extension is not designed to collect account data, payments, private messages, or seller contact details. It also does not read websites outside the autoplius.lt scope.
Information sent to servers
Price history and market comparison features require some listing data to be sent to servers used by Deal Scanner. Server records are limited to listing ID, core vehicle details, city, seller category, price, and limited technical record metadata used for reliability.
Listing photos, the full technical details table, your autoplius.lt account data, your name, email address, phone number, seller names, seller phone numbers, and other contact information are not sent to the servers.
Information kept in your browser
Some information is stored only in your Chrome browser using local Chrome storage. This includes the extension enabled state, selected language, intro message state, recently observed listing snapshots, and the comparison list you create. The comparison list may include the listing URL, photo URLs, and fuller public vehicle details so the comparison table works smoothly.
Local data is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear the relevant Chrome browser data.
Use of data
Deal Scanner uses handled information only to:
- show when a listing was first observed by Deal Scanner;
- show listing price changes;
- compare the price with similar cars;
- let you save cars in a side-by-side comparison table;
- maintain, protect, and improve those features.
Data is not sold, used for advertising profiles, behavioral advertising, credit, insurance, employment, or similar decision-making.
Data transfers
Data may be transferred only when necessary to provide Deal Scanner features, protect security, maintain technical infrastructure, or comply with legal obligations. Data is not shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media tracking services.
Security and retention
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Public listing records may be retained as long as needed for price history, market comparison, and service reliability. To request review or removal of a specific listing record, contact us by email and include the listing URL or ID.
